I paid 42500 sek on behalf of a prospective student but after he was refused a visa and having applied for a refund, he got back only 18750 sek
Its tantamount to stealing, collecting money from students who do not actually have the opportunity to study
How on earth do you explain to me that I paid 42500 sek for a semester, get refused a visa and you deduct 23250 sek more than half of the money. For what?
Have been in contact with the finance department and student affairs but unfortunately no one can assist me
I can understand if you deduct some money for administrative charges but more than half of the money is unacceptable
International Affairs Officer offers also asistence with accommodation for students.

Very much not worth the tuition fees paid seeing as the quality of education is horrible, and other universities have the same tuition.
I deeply regret choosing to study here, had I known how horrible the teachers are and how messy the courses are I would've chosen any other university in Sweden.
I want to be fair- I have had 3 good teachers who actually explained the material and cared about the students' understanding of the subject, otherwise...
Most teachers literally do not explain half of the material they're supposed to teach, while some explain it all. I understand self-studying is an important aspect but many teachers severely abuse this by telling us to read everything instead of actually doing their job. What am I paying 98,000SEK a year for? To read books by myself? I can do that for free, thank you
The danger lies when the teachers do not explain mathematical subjects, because those subjects are much harder to "read by yourself". Reading a philosophical theory is much easier to understand than introducing yourself to new mathematical concepts -alone-. Every mathematical subject I've had so far, I had to learn almost fully on my own, which is extremely draining, difficult and time consuming.
Most of the good reviews here talk about the library or the restaurants or the student life, never the education, which is the most important aspect of a university. Sorry but I could care less about restaurants when there have been courses I understood NOTHING about because the teachers couldn't be bothered to do their job.
Also- There has been a teacher who literally ignored my questions about the subject. I would email her lots of times asking her about mathematical problems I did not understand and she never bothered reply to these, and when she did she would say the answers are in the book ( as if I didn't know that already).
The courses' fast paces paired with the teachers' incompetence is a recipe for disaster, I have never felt more drained in this environment, and I used to be a top student in my school (which had way more challenging subjects).
This university's coordinators manage to take simple subjects and turn them into unintelligibly difficult ones through their incompetent teachers and horribly messy courses. The university is the embodiment of "scratching your left ear with your right hand", turning simple tasks into impossible ones.
In a nutshell- as a student you have to do both your teacher's job as well as your own, so you're putting in double the effort. Expect to be drained if you actually care about learning!!
I honestly think you should be more honest about how the university really is instead of advertising it as some holy grail of education, because this is very deceptive especially towards foreigners.
I do not advise anyone who cares about their education to study here.
Update: Hi LNU's PR team, I actually have contacted the faculty I study at, and their response was just as useless as yours. Nothing changed, they told me to just wait for the course evaluation. Why must the student wait until the damage is fully done in order to speak up about it? Oh and don't bother take preventative measures.. I've already spoken up lots of times about incompetent teachers and guess what the result was? I got more incompetent teachers in later courses. If you truly care, then you guys do a horrible job at preventative measures and change. But I doubt you care, since even the teachers don't. Glad 2021, jag längtar tills jag får sluta på denna skrattretande skola.
